Travel back in time from the Vanilla Bean Parking lot to the busy intersection of the Norwich/Worcester, and Hartford/Boston Turnpikes in the bustling eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Learn about the large Inn known as The Peter Thompson Tavern and later as the Overlock House; Pomfret’s first general store; Anna Whistler and her sons James & William who lived next door, and the original Christ Church Hall where they attended school.
