Turas is the Irish word for “journey” and this group was inspired by the decades of musical journeys of its players who came together in their current form in early 2023 and recorded their first album Ride On in September 2023. They perform an eclectic mix of traditional and current Irish tunes and songs with original arrangements. The band is led by Bod Drouin, original member and founder of Pendragon, a popular Celtic music group that recorded and toured throughout the Northeast and was voted 4 times as best Rhode Island Celtic Band by Motif Magazine.
